Who We Are
LEADERSHIP
As the premier chapter in the Atlanta metropolitan area, Kappa Omega has had several members serve in cluster, regional, and international roles. The chapter has had 42 presidents; from Marie Woolfolk Taylor (founder of Alpha Kappa Alpha and charter member of Kappa Omega) to Ms. Bridgette Grant (current Chapter President; 2023-2024).
SERVICE
The program theme for 2022-2026 is Soaring to Greater Heights of Service & Sisterhood. The six initiatives of the administration advance our rich legacy of service to all mankind.
HISTORY
In 1923, a group of ten distinguished women living in Atlanta, Georgia, were compelled by their own experiences as members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. to organize and charter the first graduate chapter in Georgia, Kappa Omega.

Kappa Omega Chapter meetings are open to members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
​
Chapter meetings are held the third Saturday of each month (except July and August) at 11:00 a.m. Business attire is required for all chapter meetings, unless otherwise noted.
​
Visiting Sorors should contact the Membership Committee Chairman for more information.
Appropriate membership documentation must be submitted prior to admittance.
Forms of acceptable identification include:

Current or expired financial card

Official certificate of sorority membership

Transfer verification form from respective chapter with required signatures

An Ivy Leaf® magazine showing the member’s financial card number and address label attached.
