As the premier chapter in the Atlanta Metropolitan area, Kappa Omega has had several members serve in Cluster, Regional, and International roles.  The chapter has had 42 presidents; from Marie Woolfolk Taylor (founder of Alpha Kappa Alpha and charter member of Kappa Omega) to Ms. Bridgette Grant (current Chapter President; 2023 - 2026).

In 1923, a group of ten distinguished women living in Atlanta, Georgia, were compelled by their own experiences as members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. to organize and charter the first graduate chapter in Georgia, Kappa Omega.
